Psoriasis In America 2016: Getting Beneath the Surface
Psoriasis is an autoimmune condition that causes symptoms to develop on the skin. There are several different types of psoriasis, but the most common form is called plaque psoriasis, which affects between 80% and 90% of people with the condition.
Health Union, LLC conducted an online survey of people with psoriasis, titled “Psoriasis In America 2016,” to identify the range of challenges and treatment experiences of people living with psoriasis.

The Psoriasis In America 2016 survey was conducted online between April 26 and June 18, 2016. Of the 582 people who completed the survey, 67% were currently diagnosed with plaque psoriasis and 50% with psoriatic arthritis.
