I've always wanted a tattoo, but I'm afraid to spend that much money and then my psoriasis destroys it. Does anyone have a tattoo? What did you do to prepare for it? Did your psoriasis attack the skin?
I hope these articles help! Best wishes, Sarah, PlaquePsoriasis.com Team Member

Hi , I don't have any tattoos either. Did your psoriasis play a role in deciding not to get one, or would you not have wanted a tattoo anyway? I experience the Koebner phenomenon (https://plaquepsoriasis.com/living/koebner-phenomenon) so that definitely makes me wary of doing anything that causes injury to my skin. Thanks so much for joining the conversation here! Warmly, -Catherine, Community Moderator

I have a full sleeve and both shoulders done. If anything next to no psoriasis where I have tattoos. Its scar tissue it dose not reproduce as fast as normal tissue. May cause a flair though.

, it's great to hear that your tattoos haven't been affected by your psoriasis. I had never considered that the tattooed skin may not reproduce as fast as other areas, but that totally makes sense! If you don't mind me asking, do you discuss your psoriasis with the tattoo artist beforehand? Warmly, -Catherine, Community Moderator

Hello , How long have you had your tattoos? I know from my experience that when I scratch my skin, psoriasis will grow there. Do you have this problem at all? Thanks for sharing. Diane (Team Member)
