Elbow Psoriasis

I thought I had broken my elbow- at least chipped the bone. I thought and thought about how I had done it. When the “dried skin” started to build up, I figured I was leaning on the couch arm too much so I used lotion and then coconut oil.

My diagnosis started with elbow psoriasis

The plaques got thicker, redder with some silver, and hurt a lot. Fortuitously, I had a dermatologist appointment already scheduled. After we addressed the original issues, I asked what she would recommend for my elbow. She immediately diagnosed psoriasis and prescribed a cream. The plaques are better but the elbow still hurts. I am new to this diagnosis so am trying to get as much info as possible.
