<inline-mention username="Dewi" user-id="4247461"/>, I'm sorry to read that methotrexate is not working for you 😥 Do you know how much longer you'll have to wait to get on one of the biologics? You have been dealing with this for such a long time already. I truly hope that you can get some relief in the very near future. Please keep us updated on how you're doing if you can. Thx Cathy, I have an appointment with ‘my’ rheumatologist on Nov 4th, at this point I’m quietly confident of commencing a Biologic regime.

I keep meaning to say that I tried the Lipikar Baume that you mentioned in one of the forum discussions - it's so soothing and has a great texture. Hi Cathy, a promised update: The Rheumatologist has put me on monthly injections of Golimumab (Simponi) [TNF] so far neither the Methotrexate or TNF drug have eased either the PsA or PsO, the latter has 'taken hold' in my urethra, equivalent to a permanent UTI. Taking Ural (sachets) alkaline based drinks every 3-4 hours, no protein (changes the urine pH) & very careful diet management. See the Rheumatologist beginning of March, switch to an IL management drug. If anyone out there has 'experience' with managing PsO in the urethra please get in touch.

 Hi <inline-mention username="Dewi" user-id="4247461"/>, it's nice to hear from you again! Thanks so much for the update. I'm so sorry to read that you're still suffering. I can't even begin to imagine the pain and discomfort of psoriasis in the urethra. I wish I knew of something that might help. I'm hoping someone else here may have some suggestions. I'm glad you have a plan with your rheumatologist for March - hopefully a change in medication will bring you some much-deserved relief. Please feel welcome here anytime you need to vent.
