My PsA Story

I started with plaque psoriasis at about twelve years old. Then after I began having children the few plaques turned to huge rashes, a mix of many kinds of psoriasis.

A slow psoriatic arthritis diagnosis

In 1997, I began with a sore lower back, then my legs. Took a year and a half to get a diagnosis of PsA. I struggled until walking or standing became difficult for twenty years. I finally had a knee replacement which ended up a war of the scar tissue and a permanent painful bend.

I'm living in constant pain

Now, 4 years later the other knee is bone on bone and the pain is beyond anything I ever had before. I have been everywhere around the country and nobody will touch me. They all tell me to get in the chair. I can’t accept that. I am only 61 and have lots of living to do. I am looking for anyone who has had anything done to ease this pain and fix the problem. I have had the artificial cartilage, steroids, braces and walkers, and now an electric chair. Thank you!
