My Travels thru Psoriasis

I started with this in my mid-twenties. Went thru Goeckerman and was clear for a bit. Then it hit with vengeance. Creams, Ointments, Kenalog shots and Methotrexate which made me have a kidney biopsy. Then it was Enbrel twice a week so my insurance cut me back to once a week and flare. Stelara was wonderful but being on Medicare it became too expensive to continue on it. Flare again. I am now 68 and 8 months and now on an oral medication that is keeping me clear. It is ordered by my MD and I receive it for no cost. But as we know, every time we find something that keeps us clear, there is the possibility it would stop working. My ex has it also and so do both of our sons. Do they listen to me about treatments? Of course not! But even though I am clear, I still have to moisturize constantly. And I do not forget to use sunscreen, especially on my face and neck. One day they will find a cure but not in my lifetime so carry on.
