Covid vaccination and psoriasis

Is it safe to get vaccinated. Anyone experienced a flare up or fever post vaccination?

  1. It's my first communion here

    1. Hi @Jennifer, welcome to our community. We are so glad you are here. While I hope our members will chime in with their experiences with the vaccine, I am sending you over an article from one of our advocates about this. I hope this is helpful. Jill, Team Member

      1. The Pfizer Covid-19 is okay, I'm fully vaccinated

        1. Hi , I have had two doses of the Oxford/AstraZeneca vaccine (I'm over in the UK). Everything went okay and I haven't had a flare up, in fact my psoriasis is calmer than it has been in a long time. Whether that's related to the vaccine or a coincidence, I couldn't say for sure.

I didn't get a fever after the vaccine, but I did have quite intense chills overnight after the first dose and a headache that lasted for about a week. The second dose I just got a bit cold and had a headache overnight and that was it I think. This is just my personal experience, of course, and we all respond to these things differently. If you decide to get the vaccine will you let us know how it goes? -Catherine, Community Moderator
