Psoriasis Symptoms Suck!

Psoriasis sucks. Truly, it is such a frustrating condition to manage. Esspecially the symptoms! What symptoms frustrate you the most?

This is a safe space to let it out! Vent away about all the ways that psoriasis symptoms suck!

  1. , psoriasis symptoms definitely suck! There are so many frustrating and difficult symptoms that we have to deal with. I think the one that has frustrated me the most over the years is the flaking. When my scalp psoriasis was severe, I used to get a lot of flakes in my parting. They were very visible. I would try to pick them out and somehow, with each one I picked from the hair, another ten would appear! It seemed as if from nowhere (I wasn't picking at my actual scalp, just trying to remove the existing flakes from my hair). Very annoying ! My scalp psoriasis has thankfully improved since then.

I think these days, the most difficult symptom I deal with is the burning sensation. It's quite painful and can be very distracting. Also, I've found that not many people seem to know that psoriasis can burn, which adds to the frustration! Very interested to hear others' thoughts on this. 1. Scaling

      1. the scaling is terrible. I always tell everyone I could never get away with a crime because I would leave skin traces for a dna sample. Do you find anything that makes the scaling better? Vickie W., Team Member

      2. Hello , Just wanted to check in and see how you are doing. I have had a lifetime of flaking and scaling. I'm finally on a biologic that is helping some. How are you doing with your scaling? We would love to hear from you.

    2. Having severe flare ups and psoriatic arthritis pain and just because they don’t see it I’m still suffering and I know what works but it’s not easy to get doctor to help you want to live another day with pain.

      1. I'm sorry to hear that you're going through such a difficult time with severe flare-ups and psoriatic arthritis pain. Managing multiple chronic illnesses can be challenging both physically and emotionally, especially when you're left misunderstood. Know that your pain and experiences are valid, even if they are not immediately visible to others. Don't give up seeking help and advocating for yourself. We know it's not easy but things will get better. Stay encouraged, Latoya (Team Member)

      2. Hello , I understand what you are saying. I have had PsO since the '60s. It has not been an easy road to travel. Don't give up. Have you seen a dermatologist or rheumatologist yet? We would love to hear from you.
