What triggers your psoriasis?

Each person living with psoriasis can have very different experiences. We want to know - what triggers your psoriasis?

  1. Alcohol, like beer, wine, and spirits

    1. Alcohol as a trigger for psoriasis comes up a lot. Do you notice if certain drinks hit you harder than others? -Latoya (Team Member)

  2. Stress and change in weather.

    1. Now, this is a big one...or maybe two! Stress and weather both really affect me (haha), but seriously, they can be such a challenge when they trigger psoriasis. Have you found anything that helps you cope when either stress or weather hits, or even when both strike at the same time? -Latoya (Team Member)

  3. Triggers include stress and the change in weather too. Both are happening right now in my life.

    1. Oh no! I’m sorry you’re dealing with both stress and weather changes at the same time. Do you have any go-to strategies or support that help you get through these flare-ups? -Latoya (Team Member)

  4. My doctor prescribed a cream that I use for weather related issues. Calming activities (reading word searches, even working out) all help with stress to calm the breakouts.

    1. It’s great that you’ve found a solution that helps both the physical and emotional sides of flare-ups. Stress really is such a big trigger for so many people! -Latoya (Team Member)
