The Itch That Won't Stop

If you have severe itching, at bedtime, what ways have you found to stop or control it when your medications isn't doing the trick?

Right now I am using icepacks which help for a while. I would loved to hear from you.

  1. , ice packs can be so helpful! I find they ease both the itching and the inflammatory pain that comes along with psoriatic arthritis. I know some people find Vicks VapoRub really helpful for the itching. Presumably the stores' own brands would have the same effect. Here's an article with some great suggestions for itch-relief: https://plaquepsoriasis.com/living/quick-tips-psoriasis-itch-relief Hoping last night wasn't too itchy for you (I know sometimes that's just wishful thinking though!). 1. Thanks for replying. Most don't understand that when you are 80% plus covered in scales and add on the itch. It's a miserable feeling. My team of doctors had to get together to figure out what to prescribe for me along with a sleep aid in it. This was the only way I could get some rest. The itch was worse than the pain. On the positive side, I do feel better. I had to start several new medications. That's another whole story; started getting infections. Psoriasis is a disease that keeps on giving.
