Psoriasis On The Nipples

OK, this is embarrassing. I have had psoriasis for 60 years and this is the first time PsO has shown up there. It's only on one.

Has anyone else experienced psoriasis there? Do you use any special creams or ointments in that sensitive area?

  1. , you are definitely not alone! I struggle with this too and have done for quite a few years, although not constantly - it seems to flare and go away as it pleases. I've just (knock on wood!!) got rid of a flare using Dovonex ointment. I also like to apply an oil (I use almond oil) after every bath, regardless of whether the psoriasis is flaring up or not. I pretty much treat it the same as psoriasis anywhere else on my body, although if I was using a steroid cream I wouldn't apply it there without checking with my doctor. Have you found anything that helps? Psoriasis in this area can be so sore and sensitive 😢 -Catherine, Community Moderator

    1. Hello , Thanks for the tips. I never asked my doctor about any treatment for that area. Like you said, that area can get sore and very sensitive.

    2. , anytime! Hoping you can find some relief. Please let us know if you come across anything that helps. Hugs! -Catherine, Community Moderator
