Scalp psorasis
I ve had psorasis since I was 12
I’m now 72,
Scalp psorasis is very challenging to psyche and body,
As a liscenced cosmetologist , in the business for over 50 years
It’s very disconcerting when even hair professionals are misinformed
About this condition.
Through ignorance people are repulsed by the condition and are fearful of it being a contagious condition.
I’ve done many types of medication to treat this painful and embarrassing condition.
From coal tar, to steroids ,
Cortisone injections into the scalp.
Steroid mousse and lotions .
Over the years I have used three different biologics
Embrel ,humira, finall Cosentyx have given me the most relief.
I still have redness but the plaques are much less and the itching and pain are under control.
Hopefully this will help someone else who has had to deal with the aggravation and pain of enduring and treating this condition.

My doctor & dermatologist are still trying to figure me out, been itching the most on my right hairline, sometimes shampoo burns, feeling frustrated & wondering if I can color & get highlights again ?
