I've always wanted a tattoo, but I'm afraid to spend that much money and then my psoriasis destroys it. Does anyone have a tattoo? What did you do to prepare for it? Did your psoriasis attack the skin?
I hope these articles help! Best wishes, Sarah, PlaquePsoriasis.com Team Member

Hi , I don't have any tattoos either. Did your psoriasis play a role in deciding not to get one, or would you not have wanted a tattoo anyway? I experience the Koebner phenomenon (https://plaquepsoriasis.com/living/koebner-phenomenon) so that definitely makes me wary of doing anything that causes injury to my skin. Thanks so much for joining the conversation here! Warmly, -Catherine, Community Moderator

I have a full sleeve and both shoulders done. If anything next to no psoriasis where I have tattoos. Its scar tissue it dose not reproduce as fast as normal tissue. May cause a flair though.

Hey ! Thanks so much for sharing here. Apologies for my delay in responding - I didn't get a notification about your reply until last night for some reason. Wow!! That tattoo is spectacular and the psoriasis patch looks perfect there. I would never have thought to incorporate the psoriasis into the tattoo. I think that looks amazing and I'm sure you do get a lot of positive comments! Were there any special considerations with tattooing around the psoriasis patch, or any additional steps required to take care of the tattoo? Or was it the same as your others? Thank you again for sharing here - I can't put in to words how much I love this! Warmly, -Catherine, Community Moderator

Hello , How long have you had your tattoos? I know from my experience that when I scratch my skin, psoriasis will grow there. Do you have this problem at all? Thanks for sharing. Diane (Team Member)
