"I think I am in REMISSION with both PSA and PS! It's the meds! for years I focused on a specific diet, but I have to admit that the meds cleared my skin and my joint pain.🙏🤠"

  1. Hi @lou68 that is great to hear. I wish I could say that I am clear. I am hoping one day I can. Vickie W., Team Member

  2. , so happy to read this! Would you mind sharing which medications have been helpful for you? Also, if any of the dietary changes helped, I'd love to hear about those too. Thanks so much for sharing your positive news with the community! -Catherine, Community Moderator

  3. and Vickie Wilkerson,

Hi. Thanks for your comments. I was in Psoriasis flare for seven years before new meds for Psoriatic Arthritis cleared the plaque. I'm left with red blotches in some areas. I started with Methotrexate, and the pain went from 13 to 2 practically overnight. Then the Dr added Humira for joint heath and the psoriasis started going away very soon after. I have been following a Mediterranean diet for several yrs. I have no way of knowing for sure if my diet helps, but I feel it does. I live with Mental Illness and gut issues so the diet I follow isn't just for the Ps and PsA. Best of Wishes to you.

  4. , thank you so much for taking the time to share with us. I'm so happy you're doing well with the methotrexate and Humira. I'm taking methotrexate for psoriatic arthritis too. It hasn't cleared my psoriasis but it does seem to make the topical ointment I use more effective. I also get the post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation left behind. For me, the blotches usually take a couple of years to clear up but they do eventually subside. Quite a few of our community members are fans of the Mediterranean diet. I've heard it's one of the most healthy diets in general. I'm so glad it's making a difference to your health and well-being. Thank you again for sharing. We appreciate you! -Catherine, Community Moderator
