What is the single biggest trigger you've identified for your psoriasis flare-ups?

Triggers are a universal and often frustrating part of managing psoriasis. We are curious - what is the single biggest trigger you have found that causes your psoriasis to flare?

  1. Right to my legs, elbows and now it started on my head. I need some kind of shanpoo to use because it's itching like crazy.

    1. That sounds rough, especially with it spreading to your scalp. I want to share with you an article that offers a few products suggestions. Maybe you can give these a try- https://plaquepsoriasis.com/living/best-products-scalp-psoriasis. Hope this helps! -Latoya (Team Member)

    2. Hi! Just checking in on you. Have you had a chance to get any of the products in the article Latoya sent, or see if your doctor has a recommendation? You might be able to get some suggestions from your local pharmacist, as well. I hope you can find some relief soon. -Melissa, team member

  2. Yeah, the itch is the worst; much more bothersome than any other aspect. My itch is mostly back of neck and behind my ears. But also my oldest trouble area (sternal notch) whenever anything touches me there like a collar or short fabric, and around my left ankle... and anywhere else a new plaque patch shows up.

  3. Definitely scalp itch

    1. The scalp itch can be the worst! Does anything seem to calm it down for you? -Latoya (Team Member)

  4. I second Scalp Itch 🙁

    1. Ugh- At least you know you're not alone. Does the itching come and go, or is it pretty constant? -Latoya (Team Member)
