How Psoriasis Affects Me

It all really started when I was 17 I would get really itchy red marks along my stomach, arms and under my breasts and I was really insecure about it. I would refuse to go out in anything showing my stomach as it would show it all and I would cover it with concealer, making it worse. I would use the wrong products to treat it and would be extremely painful, honestly I cant find any products that could treat my psoriasis if this could help me I would be so grateful.

I'm really sorry you've been dealing with this, especially since it started so young. I can't imagine being a teenager and facing so many emotions when trying to cover up to avoid being seen or even judged by peers. That's a very tough and uncomfortable position to be in. Psoriasis can be such a difficult thing to manage, and I totally get how frustrating it is to not find anything that works. Do you know about the National Psoriasis Foundation? They have a directory of doctors potentially in your area that could help lead you to a treatment. I hope you find relief soon. <inline-mention username="taylor2892" user-id="9794380"/> , I am so sorry you have to go through this. I have had severe psoriasis since I was 5 years old. I am now 66. Having this disease in my teens was the worst. Don't give up. Try not putting anything on your skin that will irritate it. Have you had the option to see a dermatologist yet? There are lots of treatments out there now. Let us know how you are doing. You are not alone. Diane (Team Member)
