How did your wardrobe change due to your psoriasis?

We know psoriasis changes everything about how you get dressed - what you can wear, what feels okay on your skin, what actually helps. Tell us: how did your wardrobe shift after your diagnosis? What did you stop wearing, and what became your go-to pieces? Your answer could help someone else figure out what works for them.

  1. Tops: Loose fit, only certain soft fabrics. Pants changed to compression.

    1. comfort sounds like it has become a pretty big factor in what you wear. I can definitely see (and understand) why looser fabrics would make a difference! It is interesting that you found compression pants work better for you! Do you have a favorite brand? I am always looking for some new compression pants myself! -Kimberli (Team Member)

    2. Thanks for sharing! I find myself wearing looser clothing lately, especially pants. I just got some from Lululemon as a birthday gift, and I love them, but of course I would never buy them myself because they are so expensive. -Latoya (Team Member)

  2. Loose clothing, all cotton

    1. that sounds like a simple and helpful combo for comfort! Thank you for sharing with the community! I hope you have been feeling alright 😀 -Kimberli (Team Member)

  3. Loose fitting close, but shoes is what was hard for me. I have Psoriasis on my feet only and shoes were the biggest problem. Most of them closed, plastic, non porous fabrics. So most of the time it was slippers for me so I could slip them off while I was sitting.

    1. Everything has been going good lately. Glad you asked. I think mine is in remition for a change, no problems as of late.

    2. this makes me so unbelievably happy to hear! I am glad things have been going well and that you have been getting a break from the psoriasis lately. I hope this good stretch continues for you! Hugs =) -Kimberli (Team Member)

  4. Slowly changing, but I have been carefree. Wearing a lose dress but without any undergarments. I did buy several bra tanks.

    1. I do this same exact thing! Undergarments have become just about unbearable for me. So a lot of things I wear are baggy. But also, use some bra tanks too, they certainly seem to work alright.. I am glad you have been able to find some options that seem to help you. Thank you for sharing. I hope you have been feeling alright! -Kimberli (Team Member)
